Name:
Kal-El/Clark Kent
Alias:
Clark Kent/Superman
Age:
Approximately 30 in appearance
Species:
Kryptonian
Nationality:
Seemingly American
Face Claim:
Tyler Hoechlin
Appearance:
Clark is a muscular man who stands around six feet tall, and sports short black hair and green eyes.
Clark typically wears looser fitting clothing in an attempt to hide his physique from others, and often wears things such as dress shirts, slacks, and ties as they function both as normal clothing, and proper work attire. He prefers to keep it simple like that, and often wears patterns that have a cross/barred look, as it reflects his rural ties in a way similar to flannel.
Personality:
At his essence, Clark is a kind, brave, and caring man. He has a strong sense of justice, honor, and a very strong moral character. He's someone who wants to be there for people in need, but not someone who needs people to look up to him. He wants to do the deed for the sake of others, not for the sake of fame or notoriety.
Despite being an alien, and a God among men, he's a very down to Earth man. He values humanity, he values everything that makes people unique, and wants to learn more about people. Not in the sense of an alien learning about what humans are like - he considers himself more human due to his growing up on Earth - but because he considers everyone to be unique, to be their own person. He doesn't view himself as a superior being among "humans", but among peers.
Clark comes off as someone who's a bit more meek, old-fashioned and clumsy when he is with people. This is just part of who he tries to be (although he is a bit clumsy regardless). It's not an act he plays, or a person he pretends to be instead of being Superman, but it's just an extension of himself that he lets out more of.
He's stubborn at times, and wants to get things done. He'd prefer to work with others, but is very willing to work alone, especially in dangerous tasks. He also wants to relieve people of pain or pressure, and will undergo something alone for the sake of not having to saddle others with responsibility. He sees many things as his cross to bear, but most of those things are not his to bear alone.
He can be very solemn, looking out at the world as the last of his kind. He sees humans as his kind now, his family, his people. But still it nags at him the mistakes his real people made, and how they've all been lost now. He wants to not be alone, but he knows deep down that with his human connections, his friends, his coworkers, his parents, he's not alone. He's with the only people he's known all his life, and to him now, humans are more important than Kryptonians. But yet it nags at him that he really is alone, at his station, seeing and hearing everything around him in a way humanity cannot. Just looking for something he doesn't need, but secretly wants.

Other Equipment:
Clark carries a camera around most of the time for the sake of his journalism. He also has a notepad and at least two or three pens with him, not to mention his cellphone with a recorder on it.
History:
Clark - or Kal El - was the last child to be born on the planet of Krypton. His parents, aware of the coming destruction of the planet, put him into a pod and sent him into space, sending him towards Earth, a planet that sustained life, and was a new world for him to live upon.
Kal landed on Earth and was discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent in Smallville, Kansas. They raised him as their own, hiding his alien existence from both the world around them and from Kal himself, as he grew up into Clark Kent. He was their child, and as he grew, that's all he ever needed to know.
When he started to grow, his powers began to develop under Earth's yellow sun. He found help from his parents in how to control his powers, and how to harness them. They never feared him, and only showed him love. He never thought anything of it. They were his parents. The only ones he'd ever known. The only family he'd ever had. Even as he began to try to learn about his past and his real people, he never lost sight of who his family was
As he grew, he had his share of problems in life, as many do. He could have solved things with his growing powers, but remained grounded. His parents helped him to develop the moral guidelines on how he'd use his powers to help, not for personal gain. He'd go through things the hard way, rather than cheat with powers that others did not have. The less attention that came to him, the better. He always knew he could do more, but he wanted to stay hidden, for the sake of his parents more than anything else.
As he grew, he developed an interest in being a journalist, so that he could help people, and he could uncover corruption and darkness in life. He sought employment with the Daily Planet, and managed to gain an internship there.
It was during his internship that he was involved in an earthquake. He used his powers to save the people who were caught in the disaster with him, and managed to hide his identity. The public and Daily Planet branded their savior as Clark continued to help the city in distress. He gained the name 'Superman'. Not knowing what to do with this name, or with what he'd done, he went home.
His parents helped him to find his path as a hero. They gave him what they had in the pod that he had landed in, giving him a partial suit that was, unbeknownst to him, a ceremonial suit from his home. Donning this suit, and adding his own touches to it (the cape and belt, primarily), Clark donned his identity as Superman, and chose to live with what he had been saddled with. He was a hero, and now he knew he could do it.
He has spent the last few years as Superman, while as Clark he has secured Daily Planet employment. He fights both battles for the sake of Metropolis, and the world, acting as the first, shining beacon that people can be better, but also learning firsthand that people can also be much, much worse, as he discovers that his arrival has shone a light into the darkness, and the dark has come out to greet him.
